In addition, Slim Shady expressed his pride in the Detroit team for coming close to winning their first Super Bowl.
Despite the fact that his plans did not work out as planned, Eminem was full of praise for his hometown NFL team, the Detroit Lions. The D-Town native tweeted, “So proud of the @Lions,” following the team’s 34-31 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, which ended the Motor City team’s hopes of winning a Super Bowl.
“Thanks 4 an amazing season!!!! We will b back!!!” Eminem said of the team that finished with a 12-5 record, tying the franchise record for the most wins. It was encouraging to see one of the team’s most well-known supporters showing support for his hometown. In another photo taken by a fan during the game at Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco, Marshall, 51, showed his support for his hometown by giving a group of 49ers fans the finger from his spot in an opulent box.
Eminem, in the video, said, “Hey Dan, I’ll be reporting in the third quarter as the quarterback and scoring a touchdown by throwing to myself.”
While Em will have to wait another year to find out if the Lions can bounce back, another A-list, chart-topping NFL booster could be making her way to the Super Bowl in Las Vegas on February 11th after the Chiefs defeated the Ravens in the AFC title game. Naturally, Taylor Swift was in the family skybox for that game, where she once again supported her boyfriend, KC tight end Travis Kelce, who had a monster day to help KC advance to the Super Bowl for the fourth time in five years.
We will have to wait until next year for our hopes of a celebrity summit in Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium for the Super Bowl, which pits Swifties versus Stans, because the Lions were unable to withstand the late-game push of San Francisco QB Brock Purdy and company.
Eminem cheered for his club both on Sunday at the conference final and at other Lions games this season as Detroit experienced its first successful season in decades. Detroit made its first trip to the NFC Championship game on Sunday since January 1992.
The game at Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco came down to the last seconds between the 49ers and the Lions, who were led by quarterback Jared Goff. The 49ers appeared to be winning at first, but they stormed back in the second half with 27 straight points, making the score 34-24 with just over two minutes left.
The 49ers pulled off the comeback victory, 34–31. The Lions attempted one more score, but it was insufficient, and San Francisco will next play the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl on February 11 in Las Vegas.
Eminem facetiously called out Lions head coach Dan Campbell and demanded to be included in the game one week before to the rapper’s attendance at the NFC Championship.
“Hey, Dan, I am going to report. It is the third quarter,” the rapper exclaimed in an Instagram video. “It is the third quarter. Just give me a uniform. Or at least just a helmet. I am reporting, offensive line, eligible receiver. I will be the quarterback, the entire line, [the] offensive line.
“I am going to be there that night, I am going to suit up, and I am going to score us the winning touchdown,” he continued.
Em showed his daughter Hailie Jade Scott how much he loved the Lions in October when they watched their favorite NFL team upset the Carolina Panthers.
The “Rap God” singer tweeted a video of himself supporting the squad to his 2002 hit song “Lose Yourself” on social media, along with pictures of himself and 28-year-old Hailie during the October game.
He captioned the photo, saying, “Let us f—in gooooo!!!! Detroit strong!!! 💪💪💪🦁🦁🦁.”

Hailie posted pictures from the game on her personal Instagram account, one of which was a lone image of her standing in a Lions cap against the backdrop of the field.
Along with posting a video of her fiancé Evan McClintock brandishing a Lions flag, the Just a Little Shady podcast host—whom Eminem shares with his ex-wife Kim Mathers—also made fun of a recent Taylor Swift moment that went viral in her caption.
Hailie wrote, “football, family & seemingly ranch 🏈,” in reference to a picture of the 34-year-old Swift at the Kansas City Chiefs game on September 24 in Travis Kelce’s suite, . The image was re-shared by a well-known X account called @tswifterastour, who wrote, “Taylor Swift was eating a piece of chicken with ketchup and seemingly ranch!”
