KTM

The 2024 KTM 390 Adventure, seen in India, will be available with the same 399cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that powers the 390 Duke, producing 45 horsepower and 40 Nm.

A new Enduro-style motorcycle has been spotted testing based on this platform; however, the 2024 KTM 390 Adventure is spotted testing for the first time in India. In India, Team Orange has introduced the 399cc version of the 390 Duke. It is only a matter of time before this platform gets its supersport and adventure counterparts too.

2024 Indian KTM 390 Adventure Testing

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and Triumph Scrambler 400X were the vehicles that first made the BMW G 310 GS and KTM 390 Adventure look old. The G 310 GS may not get an update, but the 2024 KTM 390 Adventure is coming. New test mules for the 390 Adventure have been sighted testing in India for the first time.

Firstly, this motorcycle is clearly the new 390 Adventure. Its primary visual differentiator is its headlight design, which features a vertically stacked headlight assembly with two projectors. It also lacks any visible branding to further establish its identity.

A 4-part split LED DRL design engulfs the projector headlight setup, with a tall windscreen above with a groove to smooth out air flow and lessen wind buffeting. The larger projector seen on top is for low-beam, and the smaller projector seen below is for high-beam. Both of these headlights are highly likely to have LEDs behind them.

The front gets fully adjustable (compression and rebound) USD telescopic WP APEX forks with a long travel, while the rear has a mono-shock setup that will also receive pre-load and rebound adjustments. The seat height is tall, and we hope the fuel capacity is large, unlike the current 390 Adventure.

Although the test mule was sighted in India, we believe that KTM and Bajaj may be developing different versions with varying levels of off-road suitability. This is because recent international sightings of the same motorcycle showed it riding on wire-spoke wheels with narrow off-road tires on its front and rear, measuring 21 inches and 18 inches, respectively.

Smaller 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel sizes, fatter tires with dual-purpose tread patterns, and a unique rear subframe for the 2024 KTM 390 Adventure are all features of the vehicle that was spotted in India. The hardware is probably mounted on the same mainframe as the 2024 390 Duke, with minor modifications to fit the ADV character.

The 390 Duke and the 2024 KTM 390 Adventure are expected to share many components, including the banana-shaped swingarm and other parts. The 390 Duke’s 399cc single-cylinder engine, which produces 45 bhp and 40 Nm, and its 6-speed gearbox are also shared. The KTM 390 Adventure will also have a TFT screen with connectivity and a few electronic riding aids.
