About Salaar

Prabhas, who plays the title character Salaar in the film, also stars Shruti Haasan, Eshwari Rao, Jagapathi Babu, and Sriya Reddy. This is the biggest collaboration between Prashanth and Prabhas, as they worked together for the first time to create the mega-action-packed cinematic spectacle. Salaar: Part 2: Shauryanga Parvam is the sequel to Salaar.

The movie’s first-day gross exceeded both of Shah Rukh Khan’s 2023 blockbusters, Pathaan and Jawan, which opened with global box office receipts of ₹106 crore and ₹129.6 crore, respectively, and Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, which brought in ₹116 crore on its first day.

Salaar Review

“Salaar calls for your full attention. Although the first half grips you and develops momentum effortlessly, the second half falters a little bit and seems a little stretched out with several complicated scenes that should have been cut to cut the runtime by at least 20 minutes.” This review from the Hindustan Times said that “the film’s intriguing story is only enhanced by extremely layered characters who deliver such nuanced performances. Prabhas, after a string of flops with Saaho, Radhe Shyam, and Adipurush, has finally made a solid comeback.”
