Goa police arrested suchana seth

Goa: It is purported that a 39-year-old Bengaluru start-up founder killed her four-year-old son there and then took his body to Karnataka before being apprehended.

Suchana Seth, a co-founder of the artificial intelligence start-up Mindful AI Lab, was arrested by the police and detained in Chitradurga, Karnataka, for six days.

The body of her kid was found in a bag after Suchana Seth, the CEO of the artificial intelligence start-up Mindful AI Lab, was detained on Monday in Chitradurga, Karnataka. She was accused of killing her young son in an apartment in Candolim, north Goa.

Police added that Ms. Seth, a West Bengal native, was upset over her protracted divorce from her husband, Venkat Raman. Although the motivation for the horrifying crime is yet unknown, they regard the CEO’s estranged connection with her husband as a possible reason behind the death.

While her husband, an AI developer, was in Indonesia, Ms. Seth arrived at the Sol Banyan Grande in Candolim, North Goa, on Saturday with her son. On Monday, she left the room by herself and requested that the staff arrange for a taxi to Bengaluru. She insisted on taking a taxi even after the staff told her that she ought to have taken a flight.

Her son was reported missing, and bloodstains were found in the flat she had occupied by the housekeeping staff after she left.

Following their report, the Goa police made contact with the taxi driver and requested to talk with Ms. Seth. When questioned about her kid, she said he was with a friend and provided an address that turned out to be a phony.

Next, the police contacted the driver again, asking him to take the cab to the closest police station in Chitradurga, around 200 km away from Bengaluru. They spoke in Konkani to ensure Ms. Seth did not understand.

The body of Ms. Seth’s kid was discovered inside the bag that she was traveling with after the cab driver obeyed orders from the Chitradurga police, who have since requested her husband’s return to India.

Ms. Seth was detained in police custody for six days after being brought back to Goa for questioning and appearing in court.

Suchana Seth’s own LinkedIn profile states that she was a fellow at Harvard University’s Berkman Klein Center and a data scientist with over 12 years of experience in mentoring data science teams and scaling machine learning solutions at start-ups and industry research labs. Mindful AI Lab’s page lists her as one of the top “100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics for 2021.”
